Role Description The Counter Clerk is a full-time, on-site role based in Wallace, NC. This position is responsible for greeting customers, receiving and tagging garments, explaining available services, and processing payments accurately. Day-to-day tasks include checking in and out orders, answering questions about turnaround times and pricing, and ensuring that customer preferences are clearly recorded. The Counter Clerk also helps maintain a clean and organized front counter area, communicates with the production team about special instructions, and follows company procedures for handling lost or damaged items. The role requires consistent punctuality, a professional demeanor, and a focus on creating a friendly and efficient customer experience.
Qualifications

• Strong Communication skills, including clear verbal communication and active listening.
• Customer Service and Customer Experience skills to support a welcoming, helpful front counter environment.
• Training and Customer Satisfaction skills to learn company processes and ensure customers’ needs are met.
• Basic math and cash-handling abilities, with attention to accuracy in payments and receipts.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, move garments, and work in a fast-paced, service-oriented setting.
• Reliable attendance, professionalism, and a collaborative approach to working with team members.
• Prior experience in retail, hospitality, or front-desk roles is beneficial but not required.
