Description

American Traveler is hiring a Progressive Care Unit RN with telemetry experience and EPIC charting proficiency for a night-shift travel assignment requiring an active FL or compact license.

Details

• PCU setting within a hospital environment
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00-07:00)
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6
• Every other weekend required, or 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period
• No on-call requirements
• Float required to other units or facility locations (Cape Canaveral, Holmes Regional, Palm Bay, or Viera)
• EPIC EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license required at time of consideration (no pending licenses accepted)
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Prior travel RN experience required
• 1:5 patient ratio experience required
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia management experience preferred
• Experience with cardiac, neuro, respiratory, and renal patient populations preferred
• 2 supervisory references (Manager, Supervisor, Charge Nurse, or Director) dated within the past year required for consideration
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide telemetry and progressive care nursing to a varied patient population including cardiac, neuro, respiratory, and renal cases
• Participate in hurricane coverage and holiday staffing requirements as needed
• Flu vaccine required between 10/31-3/31, with medical or religious exemptions only
• Scrubs of any color permitted but tops and bottoms must match; no logos or prints allowed
• Travel pairs permitted with unit leader approval, though matching schedules are not guaranteed
• Former Health First employees or contracted staff must wait at least one year before returning as a travel RN
• Local candidates accepted at the same travel rate with no radius restriction
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
• RTO requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration and are finalized during the interview process
