Machine Operator Job Description:

PrideStaff is working with a local coffee company who is seeking a Machine Operator to join their team. The Machine Operator will run and adjust specialized coffee grinders, grain elevators, and ICA CSV40 vertical Form-fill packaging machinery to ensure the final product meets high quality. The ideal Machine Operator has experience operating an ICA CSV40 vertical form and fill machine, is forklift certified, understands coffee and grain machines, and is able to lift up to 50lbs. The Machine Operator position is a full time, temp to hire position in Sacramento, CA.

Machine Operator Job Responsibilities:

• Set-up, Monitor, & Operate The ICA CSV40 Vertical Form & Fill Machine to Package Coffee
• Load Material & Manage Final Packaging Stages Using Automated Taping & Boxing Machines to Prepare Goods For Shipment
• Perform Mechanical Adjustments & Changeovers to Meet Different Coffee Blends, Bag Sizes, & Packaging Changes
• Demonstrate Proficiency With The Splicing of Films Into Packaging Machinery to Minimize Downtime & Ensure Continuous Production Cycles
• Inspect Finished Bag Seals, Weights, & Labels Continuously While Maintaining a Clean Work Environment That Follows Food Safety Guidelines
• Follow All Safety & PPE Guidelines as Required

Machine Operator Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
• 1-2 Years of Automated Machine Operator Experience Required With VFFS Systems or Equivalent Industrial Packaging & Taping Machinery
• Previous Experience Handling Automated Material Feeds, Film Splicing, & Multi-System Manufacturing Lines
• Previous Coffee or Grains Experience Highly Desired, Especially With a Focus on Grinders & Packaging Machines
• Successfully Handle Changeovers & Calibrate Machine Parameters For Different Product Runs
• Must be Able to Stand For Long Periods, Lift up to 50lbs, & Clearly Communicate to Team Members
• Forklift Certification Highly Preferred
