Academic Specialist

Providing one-on-one support to students, the full-time Academic Specialist will engage first-year students, monitor academic barriers, and promote persistence through proactive outreach, while working in a hybrid environment that includes both on-campus and remote responsibilities. Key responsibilities Provide timely support to first-year students in general college skills via phone, email, and text Engage in proactive outreach efforts to encourage students who have fallen behind in assignments Monitor term-to-term persistence among identified students to help them stay on track for graduation Required qualifications Bachelor's degree required Proficiency in Microsoft Products, including Microsoft Teams Experience with online learning/learning management systems (LMS) Previous student support experience in teaching, admissions, advising, or related fields Strong computer skills and excellent customer service abilities
