Area Operations Manager - Vegetation & Aesthetics

Who You Are: We are seeking an Area Operations Manager - Vegetation & Aesthetics . What You’ll Do: Oversee daily field operations, including resource allocation, scheduling, workload management, issue resolution, customer service, and client interface. Implement and update the safety program, conduct safety training, ensure regulatory compliance, and promote a safety culture, including managing safety documentation in KPA. Assist in developing weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual work plans for vegetation & aesthetics maintenance in our corridors. Maintain vegetation & aesthetics assets in compliance with FDOT maintenance rating program (MRP) standards. Coordinate and participate in FDOT MRP inspections. Oversee personnel and subcontractors to ensure timely and within-budget completion of field operations and maintenance activities. Ensure services and work products meet FDOT standards, specifications, and reporting requirements. Complete deliverables and reports per client contract and company standards. Utilize the CMMS effectively for work order management, quality control, and reporting. Assign work orders to HMTs, CSRs, and subcontractors. Perform daily project inspections and oversee subcontractor work. Dispatch and schedule resources to mitigate risks and repair third-party damages. Coordinate fleet and equipment maintenance with the Fleet Manager. Manage stock and materials ordering. Assist in vendor and subcontractor price negotiations. Implement weekly schedules and oversee fleet utilization. Ensure contractual performance measures are met. Work with QCM to ensure work quality and material standards. Participate in hiring and interviewing HMTs. Close work orders promptly and review and approve timesheets, including OT within budget. Manage lane closure schedules for routine and emergency situations. Coordinate resource support from HMTs and field supervisors, including RTM operations. Complete expense reports timely and in accordance with company policies. Adhere to ethical standards and the Versar Code of Business Conduct. Perform additional duties as assigned by the project manager. What You’ll Bring: 3–5 years of construction, vegetation, and maintenance experience. At least 1 year of experience with heavy equipment and tools for maintenance and landscaping. High School diploma or equivalent. Experience with structure, signs, traffic signals, and road fence maintenance. Strong communication skills; bilingual in Spanish is a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and standard software. Completion of Intermediate Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) certification or ability to pass Advanced MOT. Valid Florida driver's license without restrictions. Proficiency in English, both written and verbal. Successful pre-employment screenings, including background check, MVR, and drug test. Compliance with company drug and alcohol policies. Legal authorization to work in the US or ability to obtain it by start date. Qualifications: CDL A or B Herbicide Certification MOT Certification Compensation: Expected Salary: $75,000 - $85,000 annually.
