Dental Assistant – Contract
Location: Jamaica, NY
Contract: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift
Pay Rate: $22–$30/Hour (Based on Experience)
Seeking a Dental Assistant to support dental professionals with patient care, treatment preparation, and clinical procedures. The ideal candidate will have experience with dental radiography, instrument sterilization, and dental material preparation.
Responsibilities- Prepare patients for dental examinations and treatments.
- Assist dentists chairside during procedures.
- Take and develop dental X-rays/radiographs.
- Sterilize dental instruments and maintain equipment.
- Mix dental materials, including amalgams, cements, and composites.
- Maintain accurate patient records.
- Perform assigned dental laboratory procedures.
- Ensure proper equipment maintenance and infection control.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Completion of an approved Dental Assistant training program or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with dental radiography, patient preparation, instrument sterilization, and mixing dental materials .
- Knowledge of record maintenance and dental laboratory procedures.
- Strong communication skills in English.
