Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

This is a 13-week contract position.

Day shift, 3x12-hour schedule (07:00 - 19:30).

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients in the labor, delivery, and postpartum phases, including the care of normal newborns. The candidate will be required to float as needed and demonstrates proficiency in various procedures and equipment relevant to the specialty.

Responsibilities

• Administer care in the Labor and Delivery/Post Partum settings.
• Perform vaginal deliveries and assist in cesarean deliveries.
• Circulate in the operating room as needed.
• Start adult IVs, administer blood and blood products, and manage epidural and PCA pumps.
• Provide assessment and management for laboring patients.
• Engage in couplet care for mother and newborn.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery, LDRP, and postpartum nursing.
• Certifications: AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, FHM, NRP, ACLS.
• Active compact nursing license preferred.
• Experience with Epic charting system.
• Charge experience is a plus.
