Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Description

Job Summary:

Seeking an Operating Room Registered Nurse for immediate start on day shifts. The role involves providing specialized perioperative care, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining compliance with hospital protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate patients preoperatively to assess their condition and readiness for surgery.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to prepare the operating room and necessary equipment.
• Administer medications and anesthesia under surgeon or anesthesiologist supervision.
• Monitor patients throughout procedures, responding promptly to any complications.
• Maintain accurate documentation of surgical procedures and patient status using Epic charting.
• Ensure compliance with all safety standards, licenses, and travel requirements.

Qualifications:

• Valid Oregon CNA license required; pending Oregon RN licensure acceptable at submission.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Operating Room experience.
• BLS certification is mandatory; ACLS preferred.
• Epic charting experience is a hard requirement.
• Ability to work 10-hour weekday shifts, with night, weekend, and call shift availability.
• Strong understanding of sterile techniques, surgical protocols, and patient care standards.
