Responsibilities
- Provide NICU respiratory care, including assessment, treatment planning, and ongoing management for neonates requiring ventilatory support.
- Operate and monitor respiratory equipment such as ventilators and CPAP/BiPAP, adjust settings per clinical direction, and document patient responses.
- Administer prescribed therapies (nebulized medications, humidification, airway clearance) and perform procedures as ordered.
- Perform arterial or capillary blood gas sampling and analysis, interpret results, and modify treatment as needed.
- Collaborate with the NICU interdisciplinary team, document care plans, participate in rounds, and communicate with families as appropriate.
- Ensure adherence to AHA guidelines, infection control, and patient safety standards; participate in holiday coverage as required.

Requirements
- Active Georgia RRT license (or eligibility) and NBRC RRT credential
- NRP certification and neonatal delivery experience
- American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent NICU respiratory care experience, including neonatal delivery
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts on a 12x3 schedule, with weekend and major/minor holiday requirements
- Willingness to travel for a travel assignment and comply with location-specific requirements
