Clinical Staff - Medical Ancillary SupportThe Mammography Technologist will be responsible for producing quality images and providing patient care in the UAMS Breast Center.QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:High School DiplomaGraduate of a Radiological Technology ProgramRegistered with ARRTArkansas Radiologic Technologist License.Preferred Qualifications:RT(R)Mammography RegisteredResponsibilities:Operates specialized radiologic equipment to perform high quality breast imaging exams including mammography and breast ultrasounds.Maintains adequate level of supplies and keeps workspace clean.Communicates mammography exam procedures to patients and enlists patient cooperation in positioning for radiological examination.Provides patient education regarding mammography and breast health.Assists with records management and scheduling appointments.Obtains patient history and enters into Electronic Medical Records (EMR).Schedules exams and reviews previous records to determine correct studies are performed.Ensures exams are completed and images are in Picture Archiving and Communication (PACS) systems.Enrolls patients in BreastCare Program as appropriate.Maintains knowledge of breast procedures including ultrasound biopsy, stereotactic biopsy, MRI guided biopsy, and needle localizations through continuing education and professional development.Completes other duties as requested.Salary Information: Commensurate with education and experienceRequired Documents to Apply: License or Certificate (see special instructions for submission instructions), List of three Professional References (name, email, business title), ResumeOptional Documents: Proof of Veteran StatusRecruitment Contact Information: Please contact View email address on click.appcast.io for any recruiting related questions.All application materials must be uploaded to the University of Arkansas System Career Site do not send to listed recruitment contact.Pre-employment Screening RequirementsAnnual TB Screening, Criminal Background Check, Substance Abuse TestingThis position is subject to pre-employment screening (criminal background, drug testing, and/or education verification).
