Sr. Accountant

Sr. Accountant Needed in Plano

Responsibilities:

• Support the month-end and year-end close processes by preparing and posting journal entries, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and ensuring the accuracy of financial records
• Analyze financial results and investigate variances to help maintain the integrity of the general ledger
• Manage cash activity across multiple entities, including monitoring balances, recording transactions, and performing bank reconciliations
• Coordinate construction and development accounting activities, including lender draw requests, funding schedules, and related financial reporting
• Prepare monthly financial statements and assist with the distribution of management reporting packages
• Maintain accounting records for real estate development and ownership entities, ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards
• Assist with external audits, tax compliance initiatives, and the preparation of supporting schedules and documentation
• Process real estate tax payments and maintain related records to ensure timely and accurate compliance

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably within real estate, construction, or development environments
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and financial reporting
• Experience with account reconciliations, month-end close, and cash management
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities
