General Surgery Opportunity - Mishawaka, IN - just minutes from the Universityof Notre Dame

Saint Joseph Health System, a proud member of Trinity Health, has an excellent full-time employment opportunity for a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible General Surgeon to join our community-based practice in Mishawaka, Indiana just minutes from the University of Notre Dame.

You will provide comprehensive surgical care including clinic, OR, inpatient consults, and shared call coverage. The schedule supports work-life balance while meeting the needs of a very active general surgery service line.

What Youll Do:

• Provide full-spectrum general surgery care in accordance with training and privileging.
• Manage inpatient consults, admissions, and perioperative care; coordinate safe, efficient discharges and follow-up.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional care
• Maintain an active ambulatory clinic with timely access for new and returning patients.
• Participate in shared call for general surgery including weekday and weekend rotation.
• Utilize DaVinci robotic technology and modern surgical facilities
• Adhere to evidence-based guidelines, surgical pathways, and documentation standards to support quality metrics and value-based care.
• Engage in quality improvement, peer review, and morbidity and mortality committees.
• Utilize the hospitals EMR (Epic) for documentation, order entry, and communication.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and credentialing requirements.

Who Were Looking For:

• Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in General Surgery
• Passion for community-based medicine and patient-centered care
• Eligible for Indiana medical licensure and DEA registration
