A Day in the Shop

Your morning might start by reviewing a new project brief and reading technical drawings. From there, you’ll prep materials, select the right tools, and build components with care. You’ll coordinate with designers and project managers to keep work moving on schedule, and you’ll wrap up by organizing your workspace to maintain a safe, efficient environment.

What You’ll Do

• Translate drawings, blueprints, and production specs into custom-fabricated signage.
• Operate fabrication equipment—saws, routers, and welding tools—to shape and assemble components.
• Work across diverse substrates, including wood, metals, plastics, and vinyl.
• Inspect work at every stage to meet quality standards and client expectations.
• Partner closely with designers and project managers to hit milestones.
• Keep the shop clean, orderly, and safety-focused.
• Support field teams with sign installation at client sites when needed.

What You’ll Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent (technical training in sign fabrication is a plus).
• Hands-on experience in sign making or closely related fabrication work.
• Solid knowledge of materials and build techniques used in signage.
• Ability to read/interpret drawings and production specifications.
• Exceptional attention to detail and dedication to superior workmanship.
• Resourceful problem-solver who can work independently.
• Clear communicator and collaborative teammate.
