About the Role

Our client, a Pacific Northwest construction and building services company, is starting a multi-phase Master Data Management (MDM) implementation on Profisee. A certified Profisee partner has been selected as the systems integrator (SI). We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Profisee practitioner to work alongside the SI as the client's own technical expert.

You will sit inside the work, not above it. You will validate the SI's match and survivorship configuration against the client's Microsoft Fabric data, check that cross-reference (XRef) outputs are accurate, and make sure design decisions fit the client's architecture. You will also mentor the client's internal MDM Product Owner so that the organization can own and expand the platform on its own after the engagement ends.

Key Responsibilities

• Validate match and survivorship rules. Test the SI's match, merge and survivorship configuration against source data in the client's Microsoft Fabric Bronze Delta tables. Confirm that records match and survive the way the business expects.
• Review XRef outputs. Check cross-reference tables for accuracy, so that every source system record links to the correct golden record. Find and document mislinks, orphans and unexpected merges.
• Protect the client's architecture. Review SI design and configuration decisions for fit with the client's target architecture and long-term ownership. Agree where the SI is right, and push back with clear evidence where it is not.
• Work hands-on in Profisee. Configure, test and troubleshoot entities, rules and workflows directly, alongside the SI team.
• Cover non-party domains. Apply practical experience to domains such as Building and Asset, including hierarchies, location relationships and matching without standard identifiers.
• Transfer knowledge. Pair with the client's MDM Product Owner throughout the engagement. Explain configuration choices, document decisions, and build the internal team's ability to maintain and extend the platform.
• Raise risks early. Flag data quality issues, configuration risks and scope concerns to client leadership as they appear.

Required Qualifications

• Hands-on Profisee configuration experience on multiple implementations, including match, merge and survivorship rules.
• Experience mastering several entity types, including at least one non-party domain such as Building, Asset, Location or Product.
• Working familiarity with Microsoft Fabric and OneLake, including querying Delta tables to validate data.
• Strong SQL skills for profiling source data and checking MDM outputs.
• A record of reviewing or challenging technical decisions made by integrators or vendors, with sound judgment about when to accept and when to push back.
• Clear written and verbal communication with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
• Experience mentoring or training client staff to take over a platform.
• Ability to work as an independent contractor with no conflict of interest with the selected SI.

Preferred Qualifications

• Profisee certification.
• Experience with medallion (Bronze, Silver, Gold) lakehouse architectures.
• Background in construction, building services, facilities management, energy or real estate data.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Purview or other data governance tools.
• Previous work as a client-side technical lead or owner's representative on an SI-led implementation.

What This Role Is Not

This is not a strategy or advisory role. The client is not looking for roadmaps, assessments or slide decks. They need someone who works hands-on in Profisee and Fabric every day, alongside the SI team.

What Success Looks Like

• Match and survivorship rules are tested against real client data and produce golden records the business trusts.
• XRef outputs are accurate, with issues found and fixed before each phase goes live.
• SI decisions that conflict with the client's architecture are caught early and resolved.
• By the end of the engagement, the client's MDM Product Owner can maintain, troubleshoot and extend Profisee without outside help.
