Responsibilities Be responsible for tier‑1 services that power hundreds of millions of end‑users. Own tech design for various initiatives and projects that impact the commerce business and end‑user experiences. Help shape the commerce platform with new capabilities and improvements that accelerate our business. Be involved in code and architecture reviews for team members. Participate in Agile methodology and SCRUM processes such as Sprint Planning, Backlog grooming, Daily Standups, and Retrospectives with the team. Collaborate with peers and cross‑functional partners to disambiguate, de‑risk, and solve business problems. Provide on‑call support for critical services on a rotational basis. Own features/functionality and deliver projects end‑to‑end with high quality and robust architecture. Basic Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of related experience in creating and coding backend services. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience. Proven track record of driving impact. Experience in backend server‑side development for tier‑1 services. Expertise in at least one language on the JVM. Experience working with cloud providers. Familiarity with databases (SQL and NoSQL). Experience investigating technical components and taking ownership of feature development. The hiring range for this position in New York City is $148,700 - $199,400. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long‑term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
