Speech Pathologist (on call)

Department Overview The Speech‑Language Pathology department specializes in the evaluation and treatment of children with diagnoses ranging from cleft palate to voice disorders. It also evaluates and treats children who may have difficulties with speech, cognitive‑linguistic skills, feeding and swallowing, and language. Care is provided at the following facilities: Minneapolis, St. Paul, Woodbury, Roseville, and Eden Prairie. Position Summary Responsible for evaluating and providing speech therapy services to children, including the accompanying written documentation and verbal communication needed to administer care and provider orders. Provides patient, family, caregiver, staff, and student training and technical assistance. Maintains a safe, clean environment and ensures proper care of departmental equipment. Manages time effectively to promote patient, family, provider, and intradepartmental satisfaction. Works within Children’s MN Standards of Behavior. This is a casual speech‑language position based in the Minneapolis inpatient setting, with potential to float to other hospital sites to meet patient demand. Opportunities for outpatient training and coverage are available for interested individuals. Qualifications Bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degree from an accredited speech‑language pathology program. Certificate of Clinical Competence or completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year. Minnesota Department of Health license. BLS Certification. Pediatric experience preferred. Benefits and Compensation The posted salary represents a market‑competitive range based on salary survey benchmark data for similar roles in the local or national market. Annual salaries displayed are based on full‑time employment (40 standard hrs per week). Part‑time salaries will be prorated based on scheduled weekly hours relative to the full‑time standard. Pay rates consider a wide range of factors, including market indicators, candidate skills, education, training, credentials, experience, internal equity, and organizational needs. In addition to salary, this position may be eligible for medical, dental, vision, retirement, and other fringe benefits. Positions that require night, weekend or on‑call work may be eligible for shift differentials or premium pay.
