Job Title

Registered Nurse – Telemetry / PCU

Location

Martinsburg, WV

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Telemetry/PCU setting with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio across a combined unit environment
• Monitor and document cardiac telemetry strips every 4 hours, including rhythm interpretation and documentation within the EMR
• Manage set-rate drips including Cardizem, Amiodarone, Labetalol, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Heparin, Nitroglycerin, and Integrilin per protocol
• Care for patients with diagnoses including elevated troponin, active chest pain, NSTEMI, pre/post cardiac catheterization with and without intervention, post-STEMI recovery, pacers, peritoneal dialysis, and occasional oncology or post-surgical overflow
• Manage patients on BiPAP, CPAP, and high-flow oxygen in coordination with Respiratory Therapy
• Utilize EPIC EMR for all documentation, including telemetry data integration and patient charting

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid for the state of practice
• Current BLS certification (required)
• Current ACLS certification (required)
• Minimum of 1 year of Telemetry or PCU nursing experience
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR
• COVID-19 vaccination required (medical or religious exemption requests considered on a case-by-case basis)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Phillips cardiac monitoring systems and telemetry strip interpretation
• Familiarity with Omnicell medication dispensing systems
• Experience with peritoneal dialysis patient care
• Comfort working in a unit environment that may transition to higher-acuity stepdown care, including titrating drips
