Job Title: RN - Pediatric Congenital CICU Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Cardiac Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Cardiac Critical Care License: Current RN license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, & PALS required Must-Have: - Cardiac Critical Care experience greater than 2 years - Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse for the Pediatric Congenital CICU. This unit specializes in caring for congenital cardiac patients in a critical care setting. The unit has 10 beds and is staffed by a team of 6 RNs. The RN-to-patient ratio is 1:2 for critical care. Candidates must be flexible, organized, and possess strong communication skills. Typical procedures on this unit include post-operative care, inotropic and vasopressor continuous infusions, IVF and chest tube management, and care of post-sternotomy/open chest patients. Moderate sedation may also be performed. Preferred candidates will have skills in peritoneal dialysis, CRRT, and ECMO bedside experience.
