Job Summary

The Student Assistant will support the IT Telecommunications Team as an IT Assistant on the Statesboro Campus beginning Summer 2026.


Student employees cannot work more than 1300 hours in a 12-consecutive month period.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Telecommunications staff with MyTech help tickets
• Assists faculty and staff in determining what their needs are and how to resolve their issue(s)
• Assists telcom staff in troubleshooting, delivering, and installing telephone equipment: telephones, gateways, switch ports and telephone lines.

Shift Specifics

• Up to 25 hours per week
• Flexible with schedule of availability

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements

• Must be enrolled in six or more undergraduate credit hours or three or more graduate credit hours at Georgia Southern University.

Proposed Salary

$10.00 per hour

This is a non-exempt position paid on a biweekly basis.
