As an Unarmed Security Officer in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with exceptional customer service and communication. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $23.44 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeFri06:00 AM - 02:00 PM DayTimeSat06:00 AM - 02:00 PM DayTimeSun06:00 AM - 02:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities at a healthcare location. Respond to incidents, patient or visitor concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities as required. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns. Monitor access points and assist with visitor direction, authorized entry procedures, and adherence to facility policies while maintaining a professional presence. Prepare accurate reports related to patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities in accordance with site and Allied Universal procedures. Minimum Requirements: A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located. A New York State Security Guard License is required. At least 6 months of security-related experience is required. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
