Hardware Technician

Our client, a leading player in the technology sector, is seeking a Data Center Technician - Technical IT 1 to join their team. As a Data Center Technician, you will be part of the technical support team, ensuring the smooth operation of data center activities. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a customer-focused mindset which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Data Center Technician - Technical IT 1

Location: Lithia Springs, GA

Duration: 18 Months on W2

Pay Range: $28-$30/hour + Benefits & PTO

Shift Schedule : Wed-Sat 6am-6pm alternating wednesdays

Responsibilities:

• Remove network cables as part of datacenter decommissioning

• Run, label, and stage power and networking cables

• Perform DBD (data-bearing device) removal only (no scanning involved)

• Follow procedures for preparing, installing, diagnosing, troubleshooting, replacing, and decommissioning equipment, with guidance from Datacenter Technician Leads

• Prepare, stage, set up, and conduct basic startups and shutdowns for hardware using written instructions, checklists, and standard procedures

• Conduct physical audits of datacenter assets

Requirements:

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent

• Basic knowledge of computer hardware, servers, and components

• Basic understanding of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word)

• Flexibility to work non-standard business hours, including weekends and/or holidays
