SENIOR COMMUNITY HEALTH NURSING SUPERVISOR – 64035753 Requisition No: 858349 Agency: Department of Health Pay Plan: Career Service Position Number: 64035753 Salary: $60,000 – $70,000 annually Posting Closing Date: 10/03/2025 Duties and Responsibilities Conduct day‑to‑day supervisory activities for the DOH‑Seminole clinic, overseeing Family Planning, Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STD) and HIV programs, School Physicals, and Immunizations. Communicate with, motivate, train, evaluate, and develop staff; manage performance reviews, vacation and work schedules, and timesheets. Hire, transfer, suspend, lay off, recall, promote, discharge, assign, reward, or discipline subordinate employees as authorized. Develop and implement clinic policies and procedures; complete Family Planning and HMS reports; perform continuous quality‑improvement activities. Facilitate interagency meetings to improve service delivery and participate in outreach events to promote DOH‑Seminole services. Assist with nursing oversight during public health emergencies and support shelter trainings for DOH‑Seminole employees. Conduct performance evaluations, address performance problems through corrective action, and maintain written records per DOH policies. Ensure compliance with HIPAA guidelines, confidentiality policies, and State procedures for leave and attendance. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Medical terminology and nursing assessment, including physical exam and medication prescription. Data collection, analysis techniques, and report preparation. Knowledge of laws, regulations, policies, and procedures related to TB, Refugee Health, and other statewide programs. Customer‑service skill, ability to work independently, plan, organize, and coordinate assignments. Critical thinking, problem‑solving, and communication skills. Computer skills: word processing, data entry, email communication. Minimum Qualifications Registered Professional Nurse license in Florida (Chapter 464, Florida Statutes) or eligibility to practice under Florida Administrative Code 210‑8.22 or 8.27. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited institution. Experience with Health Management System (HMS) and Florida State Health Online Tracking System (FL SHOTS).
