General Purpose:

The Warranty Administrator files and reconciles accurate warranty claims in accordance with policy coverages, supporting all locations' warranty needs. Reports to the Aftermarket Support Manager.

Essential Functions:

• Manage and process parts and service warranty claims.
• Oversee the warranty process to ensure necessary information is gathered.
• Ensure timely submission and follow-up on all outstanding claims.
• Understand warranty regulations and consult Service Managers, Technicians, and the Parts Department on proper warranty procedures.
• Assist in managing the Product Improvement Program (PIP) and ensure no expired PIPs.
• Support processing of Short-line Warranties including credits.
• Support Shortage and Damage Claims.
• Support locations with machine transfer and machine location unknown process.
• Perform other duties as required to ensure the success of AVE-PLP.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Promote and support AVE-PLP Guiding Principles.
• Knowledge of service software in the dealer business system and Deere Warranty system.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet functions.
• Ability to analyze and interpret internal reports.
• Effective communication with customers, employees, and peers.

Education:

• High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) equivalent is required.

Experience:

• Two or more years in Service Department operations required.
• Equivalent education and experience may be substituted.

Additional Requirements/Licenses/Certifications:

• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must have and maintain a valid Driver's License.
• Passing a driving record (MVR), criminal history background checks, employment verification, and drug screen will be required prior to the start of employment.

Working Environment:

• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by the work location.
• Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles and vibration.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
• Work may involve long hours and overtime during holidays, weekends, and evenings.

Physical Activities:

• Ability to stand, sit, walk, walk on unpaved terrain, talk, reach with arms and hands, have good manual dexterity, use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard, handle or feel, hear alarms/telephones/normal speaking voice.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
• Moderate physical activity required by moving and positioning objects up to 50 pounds occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
