Automotive Service Advisor

Job Description

Job Description

Step into a role where your communication skills and automotive knowledge come together to make a real difference for every customer who walks through the door. As a Service Advisor, you serve as the trusted link between vehicle owners and the technicians who keep their cars running safely and reliably. If you enjoy solving problems, building relationships, and helping people feel confident about their vehicle decisions, this position offers plenty of room to grow.

About the Role

You will be the first point of contact for customers seeking service, greeting them warmly, listening carefully to their concerns, and translating technical findings into clear, honest recommendations. Your days will be varied and fast-paced, balancing customer conversations, repair order management, and coordination with the service team to keep work flowing smoothly. Success in this role comes from a genuine desire to help people and the organization to keep multiple priorities moving at once.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers, assess their service needs, and document concerns accurately on repair orders.
• Explain recommended maintenance and repairs in plain language, helping customers understand options and timelines.
• Prepare written estimates and secure approvals before work begins.
• Act as the liaison between customers and technicians, relaying updates and answering questions throughout the service process.
• Schedule appointments and manage the daily service workflow to minimize wait times.
• Follow up after service to confirm satisfaction and build lasting customer loyalty.
• Maintain organized records and ensure all paperwork is complete and accurate.
• Promote additional services when they genuinely benefit the customer and their vehicle.

Qualifications

We welcome candidates who bring a positive attitude and a willingness to learn. The ideal applicant combines people skills with a practical understanding of vehicles and the service process.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-first mindset.
• Previous experience in automotive service, retail, or a related customer-facing role is helpful.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle systems and common maintenance needs, or eagerness to develop it.
• Comfort using computers and service management software.
• Ability to stay organized and calm while juggling several tasks.
• A valid driver's license and a clean, professional approach to every interaction.

This is a great opportunity for someone who takes pride in earning trust and watching satisfied customers return again and again. Your energy and dependability will be valued every day.
