Speech Language Pathologist - Acute Care in a corrections setting, Mount Olive, North Carolina. Start date: 10/26/2026. This travel, temporary assignment covers 13 contract weeks with guaranteed hours. Weekly pay range: $2,144 to $2,296. Shift: days (5x8), 08:00-16:30. This position focuses on acute care needs in a corrections environment. Key Highlights Weekly pay: $2,144-$2,296 per week Guaranteed hours: 35 per week Contract duration: 13 weeks Shift: days, 5x8 schedule (08:00-16:30) Start date: 10/26/2026 Work setting: corrections with acute care components Responsibilities Perform SLP evaluations and provide treatment for adults with communication and swallowing disorders in an acute care context within a corrections setting. Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans; monitor progress and outcomes; document patient responses. Deliver evidence-based therapy to improve speech, language, cognitive-communication, or swallowing function; adapt interventions to medical status and safety considerations. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team, participate in rounds, and contribute to discharge planning and problem-solving for safe, patient-centered care. Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the patient record, including evaluations, progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries; ensure confidentiality and compliance with policies. Adhere to facility protocols, infection control practices, and regulatory requirements; support staff education and patient safety initiatives as appropriate. Requirements Active North Carolina license to practice Speech-Language Pathology ASHA-CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) or eligible/licensure-appropriate credential Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Eligible to work in a corrections setting and able to pass any required background checks Ability to work in an acute care environment and in a high-security setting, with good documentation and communication skills Benefits and Support Guaranteed hours: 35 per week Competitive weekly pay range corresponding to the assignment Travel assignment with dedicated support throughout the assignment 13-week contract with a defined start date and schedule Please note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
