Overview Joby Aviation isseekinga highly organized, passionate individual to join our System Testing team. As part of this team, you will performsystemslevel testingfor our VTOL electricaircraft. The data gathered in our integrated test labs will drive hardwareand softwaredesign improvements and accelerate the path to production-ready components. Your work will play a crucial role in ensuring ouraircraftmeet the rigorous safety and performance standardsrequiredfor FAA certification, a key milestone in bringing our innovative technology to market. We are looking to expand this team with like-minded individuals eager to leave a mark in the aviation industry.This position will split time between our Systems Test facilities in Santa Cruz, CA and Marina, CA. Responsibilities Plan,write,and execute system level verification testing in theintegrated test labs (ITLs). Perform the responsibility of Pilot-in-the-Loop and Test Directors, and train others. WriteFormalTest ProceduresandStandard OperatingProcedures. Develop andmaintainconfiguration control of the ITLs’ hardware & software, as well as calibrationrecords. Drive Root Cause Corrective Actions with cross-functional Subject Matter Experts. Develop tools & processes to ensure safe,fastand repeatable test execution. Analyze data collected during theaforementioned teststo generate reports to provide quantifiable feedback to the engineering teams that will allow them tooptimizetheir designs Required B.S. in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience. 5+ years of work experience in relevant industry. Experience running system level tests in a lab environment. Experience with Instrumentation, Data Acquisition Systems and Sensors Experience developingand executingsystem levelHardware-In-The-Loop (HIL) tests Strong analytical background Excellent problem solving and communication skills Desired Experience with high-voltagepower-electronics Experience with LabVIEW andVeristand Experience with industrial test laboratory environments,proceduresand safety Polarionrequirements and test case documentation experienced a plus Experience withaircraftcertification (ARP 4754, DO-178), regulatory requirements, compliance testing,aircraftsoftware engineering processes, and test verification. Compensation at Joby is a combination of base pay and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). The target base pay for this position is $104,000 - $183,000/yr.
