TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in Madison, Wisconsin, 53792!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum 2 years ICU experience, Neurosurgery experience preferred License: RN license required Certifications: BLS and ACLS required (AHA only) Must-Have: Must be willing to work with ICU and IMC patient population. Epic experience required. Traveler will be required to pass Telemetry test prior to being cleared to start. Description: Evening/Night shifts, 12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30. Every other weekend and some holidays are required. ICU experience is required, and neurosurgery experience is preferred. Strong critical thinking skills are necessary to provide interventions that may include vasoactive drips and hemodynamic monitoring. Care is provided for adult patients with a variety of neurology, neurosurgical, and stroke conditions. Conditions may include ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, traumatic brain injuries, hydrocephalus, and cerebral aneurysms. The role involves supporting both ICU and IMC levels of care. Daily patient census is approximately 12, with a patient ratio of 2:1. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy among others. Required skills include managing arterial lines, care of ventilated patients, and administering emergency medications. Telemetry testing is mandatory with strict passing criteria for lethal rhythms. The traveler must pass the exam within two attempts. Failure to pass after three attempts may result in assignment cancellation.
