Accounting Manager Consultant

Our client, a growing organization, is seeking an Accounting Manager consultant to support core accounting operations during a period of change. 

This position is fully remote and expected to last 5 months. 

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee month-end and year-end close processes
• Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting deliverables
• Supervise general ledger accounting activities and ensure accuracy of financial records
• Oversee accounts payable operations, including invoice processing, approvals, and vendor management
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies
• Analyze financial results and investigate variances as needed
• Support audit processes and provide required documentation
• Partner cross-functionally with finance, operations, and leadership teams to improve processes
• Identify and implement process improvements, system enhancements, and workflow efficiencies
• Mentor and support accounting team members as needed

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibilities, preferred
• Strong experience with month-end close, general ledger accounting, and accounts payable
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and internal controls
• Experience working with accounting systems or ERP platforms
• Strong Excel and analytical skills
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• CPA or public accounting background is preferred
