Grounds Manager

Buildings and Grounds Manager Catamount Mountain Resort Year-Round, Full-Time - Experience Preferred Facilities and Systems Building systems: Basic working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structural systems Carpentry: hands-on carpentry ability for repairs, framing, and general construction work Maintenance programs: experience running a preventative maintenance program and conducting building inspections Compliance: familiarity with building codes, fire codes, ADA, and OSHA requirements Project management: experience managing contractors/vendors and capital improvement or renovation projects Grounds and Outdoor Operations Landscaping: horticulture and seasonal grounds care (spring cleanup, summer landscaping, fall winterization) Winter operations: snow removal and ice management for walkways, parking, and base areas Site systems: working knowledge of irrigation, drainage, and erosion control Equipment: comfortable operating grounds and snow-removal equipment/machinery Leadership and Administration Supervision: proven experience hiring, training, scheduling, and managing performance Budgeting: management of budgets across labor, materials, contracts, and capital projects Communication: strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Safety leadership: ability to coordinate emergency response and enforce safety protocols Experience and Physical Requirements Experience: 5+ years in facilities/grounds management or resort operations, ideally in a hospitality or resort setting License: valid driver's license required Conditions: able to work outdoors year-round in all weather Physical demands: capable of lifting 75 lbs and working at heights, in mechanical spaces, and in confined areas Some Weekend and Holiday work is required #J-18808-Ljbffr
