This role focuses on maintaining and automating critical mainframe environments that support reliable enterprise operations. Working with technical teams, the role helps ensure efficient administration, monitoring, and optimization of mainframe systems. Accountabilities:

The Mainframe Automation System Programmer will support the administration, automation, and optimization of mainframe systems while ensuring operational reliability and efficiency.

• Manage and maintain mainframe environments to support stable and efficient system operations.
• Develop, configure, and maintain automation solutions to improve operational workflows and reduce manual processes.
• Administer and support System Automation (SA) and NetView environments.
• Monitor system performance, identify operational issues, and implement solutions to improve reliability.
• Collaborate with technical teams to troubleshoot issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist with the development and maintenance of automation scripts and programming solutions.
• Follow established operational procedures and contribute to best practices for mainframe management.
• Support system enhancements and ensure automation processes align with business and technical requirements.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have experience in mainframe programming and automation, with strong technical skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote environment.

• 3+ years of experience in mainframe programming or system programming roles.
• Strong experience with mainframe environments and administration.
• Proficiency in System Automation (SA) and NetView administration.
• Experience using automation tools to improve mainframe operations.
• Understanding of mainframe programming concepts and infrastructure management.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with the ability to resolve technical issues.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with distributed technical teams.
• Must be able to work as a W2 employee without sponsorship.
