The in-home setting could be a patient's private residence or in a patient's room in an independent living facility. Client Rehabilitation To You allows the Occupational Therapy Assistant to treat in the most functional environment which is the patient's home. The Occupational Therapy Assistant implements occupational therapy programs and provides occupational therapy treatments to patients to facilitate increased independence and functioning, under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist. This position provides a flexible schedule and work environment in various settings.\n RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES: \n \n \n Attends and contributes to patient care, staffing conferences and other required meetings as a representative of occupational therapy, under the direction of the Occupational Therapist.\n \n \n \n Responsible for adherence to department and patient treatment schedule, timely clinical and billing documentation requirements as well as work related meetings.\n \n \n \n Works with other members of the rehabilitation team to develop programs and activities consistent with the needs and capabilities of each patient.\n \n \n \n Instructs patients, families and other caregivers in the skills and techniques of the occupational therapy treatment program under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist.\n \n \n \n Maintains appropriate and timely documentation for all patients treated.\n \n \n \n Cleans, maintains, identifies, and reports the need for repair of equipment, as necessary.\n \n \n \n Puts Patient Service First: Ensures that patients and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individuals' needs and rights.\n \n \n \n Implements a patient's individualized treatment plan as established by the primary Occupational Therapist.\n \n \n \n Provides individualized occupational therapy interventions including application of therapeutic techniques in such areas as, but not limited to:\n \n \n \n cognitive skills\n \n \n \n muscle strength\n \n \n \n coordination\n \n \n \n endurance\n \n \n \n mobility\n \n \n \n perceptual abilities\n \n \n \n sensory awareness\n \n \n \n sitting and standing tolerance\n \n \n \n balance\n \n \n \n activities of daily living\n \n \n \n joint protection\n \n \n \n work simplification\n \n \n \n orientation\n \n \n \n physical agent modalities\n \n \n \n low vision\n \n \n \n falls risk management\n \n \n \n medication management\n \n \n \n health and wellness\n \n \n \n community integration and reintegration\n \n \n \n \n Performs other related duties as required.\n \n \n SPECIFIC EDUCATIONAL/VOCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: \n \n \n Must have a valid license in the state(s) of practice, or proof of license eligibility.\n \n \n \n Must have a valid driver's license or reliable, independent transportation to and from the patients' residence.\n \n \n JOB SKILLS: \n \n \n Good organizational and time management skills.\n \n \n \n Good verbal and written communication skills.\n \n \n COMPLIANCE: \n \n \n \n Complies with applicable legal requirements, standards, policies and procedures including but not limited to those within the Compliance and Ethics Program, Standard/Code of Conduct, Federal False Claims Act and HIPAA.\n \n \n \n Participates in required orientation and training programs.\n \n \n \n Promptly reports concerns and suspected incidences of non-compliance to supervisor, Compliance Liaison or to the Compliance Officer via the Integrity Hotline.\n \n \n \n Cooperates with monitoring and audit functions and investigations.\n \n \n \n Participates, as requested, in quality assurance and process improvement activities.\n \n \n \n #AlliedTech1\n \n TalentBurst, Inc Job ID #26-29571.
