Responsibilities Provide technical assistance to users, including setup and configuration Provide Tier 1 and 2 levels of Help Desk support, including covering Help Desk phone, email support requests, and Help Desk tickets Ensure the security, backup, recovery and disaster recovery plans are followed Set up and maintain workstations including hardware/software configuration Coordinate computer repairs and software upgrades with end-users Other duties may be assigned Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, internal and external customers Compensation $23.50 per hour (DOE) Additional Benefits Comprehensive health coverage plan that includes medical, dental, and vision 401(K) Company Match Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and nights as scheduled Physical Demands While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Education Associates or better in Computer Science or related field Associates or better in Information Technology or related field Bachelors or better in Computer Science or related field Bachelors or better in Information Technology or related field Experience Problem solving and analytical skills, as well as a strong attention to detail Effective oral and written communication skills Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) 2+ years of experience in technical support, help desk role, or other IT areas preferred Ability to prioritize and elevate issues as needed to ensure exceptional customer service Strong customer service and problem-solving skills IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft MCP, or similar IT certifications Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree in Computer Science, IT related field is a plus Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
