Ophthalmic Technician

The Ophthalmic Technician will perform preliminary examinations, diagnostic tests, and assist ophthalmologists during surgical procedures. They are also responsible for managing patient flow and maintaining accurate clinical documentation. Description Join Our Growing Ophthalmology Team as an Ophthalmic Technician! Your Impact Elevate patient care: Work closely with our ophthalmologists to gather comprehensive patient information, ensuring accurate diagnoses and personalized treatment plans. Master ophthalmic testing: Conduct thorough preliminary examinations, including visual acuity, pupillary responses, and more. Perform advanced diagnostics: Administer a range of diagnostic tests, such as OCT, perimetry, and ophthalmic photography. Assist in surgical procedures: Support ophthalmologists during minor surgeries, laser procedures, and crosslinking. Streamline patient flow: Efficiently manage patient flow in clinic and imaging rooms, collaborating with clinical staff. Administer eye drops: (Certification Required) Contribute to clinic efficiency: Perform clinical and administrative tasks, ensuring a smooth and organized workflow. Knowledge of medical office procedures. Ability to perform indirect activities, administrative tasks and any other assigned duties that contribute to the efficient & high-quality performance of the medical practice. High School Diploma or equivalent. Bonus Points: Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) Certification. Key Skills: Reliability and a strong work ethic.
