Joining AMG means being part of a collaborative, patient-focused environment where innovation and quality care thrive.We're looking for:High School Diploma or GED required.Must have a medical assistant diploma or 2 years of medical assistant experience or be a certified MA with 2 years of medical assistant experience, to qualify.Previous experience working in an OB or Women's Health clinic or department.What you'll do:Welcome patients and support their transition into care.Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and health screenings.Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures.Administer medications and vaccines as directed.Perform lab-related tasks including specimen collection and point-of-care testing.Document care accurately in the electronic health record.Partner with physicians, nurses, and teammates to deliver high-quality, coordinated care.About this location:Our main location is in the Medical Office Center at 17850 S Kedzie Ave., Suite 3100, in Hazel Crest, IL, with additional locations in Orland Park, South Holland, and Frankfort, IL. Our practice includes seven providers, four OB/GYN physicians, one gynecologist, two Advanced Practice Nurses and a dedicated social worker. We provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care to women of all ages. In office procedures include colposcopy, endometrial biopsy, LEEP and hysteroscopy.Your feedback matters. We value your insights and experiences because they help us grow stronger together.Physical requirements and working conditions:Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, reach above shoulders, and twist frequently throughout the workday.Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies.Must be able to: push/pull with 30 lbs. of force and perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with a second person present.Must have functional speech, vision, hearing, and touch with ability to use fine hand manipulation skills for IV insertion and other procedures/functions.Maneuver foot pedals on carts or machines.Perform physical safety interventions such as patient restraint and verbal de-escalation, if needed.May be exposed to chemical and hazardous waste as well as blood and body fluids and communicable disease.
