Title Human Resources Generalist Reports To SPS Director of Human Capital and Talent Development or designee Essential Responsibilities Answer day‑to‑day employee inquiries through the SPS Human Resources Help Desk. Assist with employee recruitment activities. Perform new employee onboarding activities, including collecting documents and ensuring compliance with new‑hire requirements. Respond to external requests for employment verification. Complete necessary reporting, including unemployment and worker’s compensation. Maintain personnel files of new and former employees. Process requests for employee leaves, including FMLA. Assist with annual HR activities, including salary notifications and training. Assist with special projects as required. Perform clerical functions as needed. Requirements Highly motivated and eager to learn. Demonstrates excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to communicate effectively with varied populations. Previous experience working in an office setting is preferred. Previous experience working in a public school setting is preferred. Displays a significant degree of professionalism and confidentiality. Proficient with Google/Microsoft Office applications.
