Job Skills / Requirements

We are seeking an experienced Area Manager to oversee janitorial operations across an assigned portfolio of commercial buildings throughout NYC. This role is responsible for leading field teams, maintaining quality and contract standards, managing client relationships, and ensuring operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily janitorial operations and supervise Janitorial Supervisors and Forepersons across an assigned portfolio
• Conduct regular building and quality control inspections to ensure contract compliance and high service standards
• Monitor staffing, scheduling, attendance, timekeeping, payroll, supplies, equipment, and operational expenses
• Address client complaints, service issues, and employee concerns while maintaining strong client and labor relations
• Prepare and review operational reports, investigate incidents, implement corrective actions, and coordinate emergency response plans

Qualifications

• 3+ years of management experience in janitorial, commercial cleaning, facilities, or building services
• Proven experience supervising multiple teams, locations, or commercial accounts
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Experience with quality assurance, scheduling, payroll/timekeeping, employee relations, and client service
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and operational systems; knowledge of NYC commercial building operations and labor union practices is a plus

Schedule: Monday to Friday | 4:00 PM - 12:00 AM


Salary: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00
