About the Position

Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 4 years (candidates with 2+ years may be considered) License: State License required; pending licenses accepted with conditions Certifications: RRT, BLS, ACLS, ACCS preferred Must-Have: Epic experience required Description: The position involves working in a respiratory therapy department within a Level I Trauma Center. Therapists should possess strong communication and critical thinking skills. The role requires experience in adult critical care and a thorough knowledge of respiratory procedures. Candidates must be prepared to float between sections as needed. Every other weekend and holiday shifts are mandatory. Applicants may submit with a pending state license, provided they can obtain a temporary license before starting employment. Failure to secure a temporary license in time will impact candidacy. Previous charge experience is not necessary for this role. Strong candidates may include those with diverse respiratory therapy skills such as BiPAP, CPAP, and intubation assistance. The department promotes an interdisciplinary team approach in patient care. Flexibility and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment are essential. Team members are encouraged to work at the top of their license and actively participate in patient care.
