Planning Engineer

ThePlanning Engineer is responsiblefordeveloping, maintaining, and communicating detailed wafer productionplans that support customerdemandand factory execution. Reporting to thePlanning Manager, this individual contributor role partners closely with Sales, Finance, CapacityPlanning, Customer Service, Industrial Engineering, and Operations to translatedemandsignals into executable manufacturing schedules, monitor performance toplan, and identify risks that could impact delivery, cycle time,inventory, or customer commitments.

KeyResponsibilities :

• Supportplanningexecution: Execute day-to-dayplanning activitiesincludingtacticalforecastingsupport, production scheduling,order review,and coordinationwith cross-functionalstakeholders under the direction of thePlanning Manager.

• PartProduction Scheduling : Develop andmaintain detailedpart-levelproductionschedulesfrom orderentrythrough wafer fabrication, escalating conflicts, constraints, and schedule risks to thePlanning Manager.

• Demand& Supply Alignment :Partner with CapacityPlanning,Sales,Business Development,andOperations to comparepartdemandagainst availablefab capacityand recommendplanning actions to thePlanning Manager.

• Part Cycle Time :Work with thePlanning Manager to set and update cycle time targets.Track part cycle time performance against targets established with CapacityPlanning and Area IE teams.Analyze gaps, communicate risks, and support cross-functional improvement actions. Maintain priority allocation inputs based on business, customer, and development requirements.

• InventoryManagement : Monitor starts, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goodsinventorylevels to support customerdemandwhile helping prevent stockouts, excessinventory, and unbalanced fab loading.

• Customer ServiceCoordination: Coordinate withcustomerservice representatives onwafer orders, photo mask orders,customer commits, andnew partsetup activities. Provideplanning inputs needed to support service level expectations and accurate customer communication.

• Risk Mitigation : Identify potential supply gaps, schedule misses,materialconstraints,orpartproduction delays. Prepare clearstatusupdates, shortage summaries, and risk escalationsforthePlanning Managerandoperationsstakeholders.

• Systemsand DataManagement :Maintain accurateplanning data inERP/MRP systems and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES). Supportdata integrity,reporting, schedule updates, and continuous improvement ofplanning tools and processes.

Qualifications :

• Education: A Bachelor'sdegree or commiserate level of industry experience.

• Experience : 5+ years in semiconductor manufacturing or supply chain management.

• Technical Knowledge :Understandingmanufacturing science principles,foundry ecosystems,andsemiconductorwafer fab processes. Understanding of systems related tofactory manufacturing including MES, ERP, Excel, SQLandPower BIor similar. The ideal candidate would have understanding of automation via Python, R, Power Automate, orothersystems that will improve factory system efficiency.

What We Offer

Salary : $92,000-$130,000 per year (good-faith estimate)
