Restaurant Manager

Role Summary: As Restaurant Manager, you are responsible for leading a dedicated team of employees to ensure the success of each of The Black Cow Bistro. The Restaurant Manager reports directly to the General Manager

Duties & Expectations: 

• Oversees our team of dedicated employees, ensuring that day-to-day operations run smoothly and creating a welcoming and memorable experience for all guests
• Clearly and consistently communicates ongoing information regarding restaurant operations to core leadership team
• Manages employees, including hiring, training and providing support and feedback as needed, addressing performance issues or conflicts respectfully and in a timely manner
• Keeps detailed records of costs and revenues
• Has extensive food and beverage knowledge, including a thorough understanding of food safety, ensuring compliance with safety and cleanliness standards
• Supports the General Manager in achieving all restaurant sales and financial objectives
• Prepares schedules and processes payroll for all staff
• Protects the building structure and all restaurant assets, including but not limited to practicing and enforcing proper cash handling and proper care of equipment and smallwares
• Responsible for reporting and employee relations, worker’s compensation, and guest injury issues in a timely and professional manner
• Genuine enthusiasm for providing and coaching others to provide outstanding food, beverage, hospitality and service

Qualifications: 

• Minimum of (3) years experience in restaurant management
• Must display ethical conduct and lead by example at all times
• Demonstrates ability to follow directions and work well within a team
• Ability to communicate effectively in order to develop and maintain professional relationships with co-workers, vendors, and guests
• Advanced written and verbal proficiency of the English language is necessary for this role. Spanish language skills are a plus
• Must possess excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize yours and others’ work and time in order to meet deadlines and objectives
• Must demonstrate a technical aptitude to utilize company systems, POS systems, email and Microsoft or other software programs as needed
• ServSafe and RAMP certification required

Physical Demands: 

• This position is very active and requires the ability stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, and crouch consistently throughout an 8-10 hour work day
• Must have the ability to lift and move up to 50lbs
