Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Austin, Texas.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: Labor and Delivery\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: ASAP\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 36 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, nights\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs\n Hours: 36 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Aug 3, 2026\n Length: 13 weeks\n Openings: 1\n Description\n American Traveler is seeking an RN for a Labor & Delivery/Antepartum contract requiring AWHONN and NRP certification with rotating nights and weekends.Details\n \n Antepartum unit within a Women's Tower hospital setting\n 24-bed unit with 26 staff members including 1 charge nurse, 4 RNs, and 1 clerk during the day; no PCTs at night\n Patient ratios of 3:1 and 4:1, occasionally 2:1 depending on acuity\n Performs non-stress tests, hyperemesis management, insulin drips, magnesium administration, and heparin drips\n EMR systems used: Meditech and CPN\n Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM\n Rotating weekends required\n No call requirements\n Requirements\n \n Active TX or compact RN license required\n Current BLS certification required\n Current ACLS certification required\n Current AWHONN certification (Intermediate or Advanced) or NCCEFM required\n Current NRP certification (Advanced 9th Edition) required\n Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Labor & Delivery or Antepartum required\n No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months\n US SSN and date of birth required for consideration\n One professional reference required\n Additional Information\n \n Provide care to antepartum and labor & delivery patients including high-risk conditions\n Team-oriented environment requiring strong communication skills\n Navy blue scrubs required\n Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates are not accepted, no exceptions\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-734128.
