Sr Finance Manager

Finance Leadership Role

Assists the Finance Leadership and operational leaders as a strategic, hands-on business partner.

Utilizes financial reporting and forecasting tools to facilitate the development of annual budgets and quarterly financial forecasts for multiple business entities and departments.

Prepares accurate and timely financial reporting packages for the Board of Directors, department, and operational leaders.

Provides actionable insight to operational business partners and help implement improvements.

Leads or supports monthly meetings with various operational and functional leaders to review and discuss financial performance.

Creates financial models and pro forma analyses to support sound decision-making; for example, analyzing the financial impact of new business acquisitions, services or processes.

Establishes strong working relationships with business partners throughout all levels of the organization.

Communicates in a responsive, professional manner with all HOPCo employees and third parties to ensure that regular, consistent communication takes place and enable effective decision making.

Lead and mentor a team of Finance Managers and/or Analysts, providing day-to-day guidance, reviewing work product, and supporting professional development.

Serve as the Finance lead for assigned business segments, owning the full P&L narrative from budget through close.

Drive process improvement initiatives across financial reporting and forecasting workflows, including system enhancements and standardization of reporting tools.

Partner with senior operational leaders independently to develop financial strategies, identify risks, and recommend corrective actions — escalating to Finance leadership as appropriate.

Lead cross-functional projects including new service line launches, acquisition integration, or entity onboarding from a finance perspective.

Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting is required.

Bachelor's degree in a different discipline will be considered if the candidate has extensive professional experience in Finance or Accounting.

Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in corporate finance or operations finance, including at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory capacity.

Experience in health care services is a plus.

Demonstrated working knowledge of profit and loss statements, cash flow statements, balance sheets, and inter-company financial reporting.

Knowledge of finance and accounting functions including budgeting/forecasting, financial modeling, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Experience managing or mentoring finance staff and reviewing analytical work product for accuracy and completeness.

Familiarity with multi-entity consolidations and segment-level financial reporting in a complex healthcare or services organization.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills; collaborate effectively with all levels within the organization.

Demonstrated resourcefulness and comfort with complexity; respond to ambiguity by working with others to gain clarity and alignment of goals/objectives.

Keen attention to detail and pursuit of truth/accuracy.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint) and financial forecasting tools (Solver).

Proactive self-starter with the ability to properly prioritize responsibilities in a dynamic, challenging, complex environment.

Independently manage competing priorities across multiple business segments and stakeholder groups, maintaining quality and accuracy under tight deadlines without close oversight.

Translate financial results and complex analyses into clear, actionable insights for operational leaders who may have limited financial backgrounds.

Lead cross-functional conversations with confidence, representing the Finance team's perspective and driving alignment without escalating to Finance leadership for routine decisions.

Anticipate the financial information needs of business partners before they are requested, proactively surfacing risks, opportunities, and recommendations.

Coach and develop junior finance team members, providing meaningful feedback on analytical work product and building capability within the team.

Navigate organizational complexity and ambiguity with maturity, exercising sound judgment on when to act independently and when to escalate.

Influence outcomes and drive accountability through strong working relationships with operational and functional leaders across all levels of the organization.

Balance the role of hands-on analytical contributor and team leader, knowing when to execute directly and when to delegate effectively.

Manual dexterity using a calculator and computer keyboard.
