Responsibilities Assesses patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management, including reassessments after appropriate intervention. Performs procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s). Documents the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner. Performs exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests. Strives to anticipate patient needs and resolve them proactively. Teaches patients/families/caregivers about patient medical condition, status, treatment plan, medications, possible side effects, and follow‑up measures. Translates complex medical terminology to ensure complete understanding. Teaches patients/families/caregivers about non‑medicinal follow‑up measures such as healthy diet, exercise, disease prevention, and other lifestyle changes. Prepares patients and families/caregivers for future self‑management. Qualifications Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date. Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date. (RN) Registered Nurse license. Associate Degree, Bachelor’s Degree, or Registered Nurse Diploma. Advanced Trauma Care for Nurse, Advanced Trauma Life Support, or Trauma Nursing Core Course must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date. Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course or PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date. No travel required. 1 year of experience required.
