PROCUREMENT COORDINATOR

Suwannee County Board of Commissioners is seeking applicants for the following This full-time position is highly responsible, administrative support classification reporting to Administrative Services. Work involves planning, developing and implementing policy and procedures for negotiating, purchasing, and entering into contracts to procure services and equipment for County departments that best benefit the County. Frequently collaborates with Consultants, Department Heads and/or Staff throughout the procurement process. Responsible for preparing bid documentation, reviewing bid replies and proposals. Responsible for developing and maintaining supplier relationships and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. This role also involves tasks like preparing and managing purchase orders, maintaining procurement records, and contributing to cost-saving initiatives. Minimum qualifications include a degree in a related area and two (2) years’ experience in procurement is highly desired; experience may substitute for education. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency using procurement software and systems. Must possess a valid Florida Driver’s License. Only experienced applicants will be considered. Minimum hourly rate of pay is $24.43, based on experience and qualifications, plus a generous benefits package.
