Company Description: NAMI San Diego & Imperial Counties (National Alliance on Mental Illness) is a nonprofit organization that provides free education, support services, and advocacy to improve the quality of life of everyone affected by mental illnesses. Program Description: NAMI SD/IC Clubhouses operate under the Clubhouse International Evidence Based Model for psychosocial rehabilitation, with the goal of empowering adults/older adults living with a serious mental illness (SMI) age 18 and above to live vocationally meaningful and socially satisfying lives. Our program provides a uniquely supportive and collaborative Clubhouse setting where Members (program participants) and staff work together to operate all aspects of the organization in an atmosphere built on principles of mutual respect and caring.Primary Responsibilities/Function: Our Clinician provides consultation, revises, and approves care plans in partnership with the Clubhouse Lead and Support Specialist. The Clubhouse Staff support individuals who are served by Medi-Cal's managed care plans in San Diego County. The Clubhouse is a Model of psychosocial rehabilitation, that offers a collaborative, restorative environment where Clubhouse members can recover by gaining access to opportunities for employment, socialization, education, skill development, housing, and improved wellness. This is a part-time, hybrid position working approximately eight (8) to twelve (12) hours per week, during Clubhouse business hours (Monday-Friday: 8:00 AM-4:30 PM). Duties and Responsibilities:Complete Mental Health Assessments for clubhouse members to determine appropriateness of services and document in County EHR.Consult on care plan goals and action steps.Review and approve care plans within established timeframes.Collaborate with clubhouse staff to address the unique needs and challenges of clubhouse members.Promote the use of evidence-based practices such as motivational interviewing, housing first, and harm reduction principles, when providing support to our Clubhouse Support Specialists.Other duties as assigned.Accountability: Reports to the Director for ClubhousesPhysical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with qualified disabilities to perform the essential functions.Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Minimum Requirements, including linguistic and cultural skills, education, experiences, licenses and certifications:Must be licensed in California as an LCSW or possess a similar license.Minimum of one year of experience supporting individuals experiencing mental health or substance use conditions.Strong, positive viewpoint towards individuals living with mental health conditions, substance use conditions, homelessness, recent history of justice involvement, and their families.Intermediate to advanced proficiency with computer software (Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel) and web navigation.Able to communicate effectively, verbally, and in writing.Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality. Exceptional interpersonal skills, positivity, attention to detail, flexibility, and enjoy working in an ever-changing environment.Excellent planning, organizing, analyzing, problem-solving, and time management skills.Ability to get along and work effectively with others.Reliable and consistent attendance.Additional Preferred Skills/Experience:Experience providing consultation and support to case managers or peer specialists is highly preferred.Case management experience is preferred.Experience supporting unserved/underserved groups, such as those described in the primary responsibilities/functions section, is strongly preferred.Personal lived experience or with a family member or loved one with mental health conditions, substance use, or homelessness is preferred.Knowledge of and use of recovery language, preferred.  Due to our work with vulnerable populations and county contractor requirements, applicants will be required to undergo a background check following a contingent offer of employment and must receive satisfactory results prior to a final offer of employment.
