Title
Cath Lab PACU RN

Schedule
3 x 12-hour day shifts

Requirements
- Valid OK or Compact RN license required
- Minimum 1 year of critical care experience
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH/NIHSS
- Key clinical skills include:
- Cath lab recovery and groin site/hemostasis management
- Monitoring procedural sedation; recovery from general anesthesia to moderate sedation
- Critical care skills: hemodynamic monitoring, IV vasopressors, dysrhythmia recognition/management
- Post-procedure care: sheath removal/monitoring, 12-lead ECGs
- Exposure to interventional cardiac procedures/devices

Roles & Responsibilities
- Monitor patients in the PACU following cath lab procedures.
- Manage groin site and ensure hemostasis post-procedure.
- Provide recovery care for patients coming out of general anesthesia or moderate sedation.
- Administer medications per protocol and manage intravenous therapy.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and families on post-procedure care and recovery instructions.

Compliance / Notes
- Orientation: 40 hours
- Travelers may be expected to float to like units within their scope as needed.
