Our Field Service Technicians are the face of Reliable Door and Dock, which means you have the opportunity to make a direct, positive impact on our customers. As a technician, responsibilities include:

• Installing and servicing overhead doors, docks, dock levelers, springs, cables, and other essential hardware.
• Setting up and maintaining various commercial and industrial specialty doors, equipment, and accessories.
• Ensuring quality by meticulously checking for proper installation, clearance, and balance.
• Delivering unparalleled customer service and responding to customer inquiries honestly and pleasantly.

To excel in this role, you should:

• Have one or more years of experience installing and/or servicing commercial and industrial overhead doors and docks.
• Be a master of hand and power tools, showcasing your knowledge in this area.
• Possess mechanical aptitude that enables you to troubleshoot and solve technical challenges.
• Be a team player who can also work independently.
• Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with colleagues and customers.
• Have a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record.
• Be capable of regularly lifting anywhere between 50-100 lbs.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or touch objects, tools, or controls, and drive a company vehicle. The employee is frequently required to reach above shoulder height; climb or balance; and be mobile within the office. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Protective Clothing Required: Closed-toed shoes required. Safety glasses and steel-toed shoes required when working in the warehouse or field. WORKING ENVIRONMENT : While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works both in outside weather conditions and near mechanical parts. REQUIRED LANGUAGE SKILLS, MATH SKILLS, AND REASONING ABILITY:

• Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as product manuals, installation guides, instruction books, safety information, drawings, prints, schematics, diagrams, and troubleshooting guides.
• Ability to write accurate, complete, and neat job notes, service tickets, work summaries, and other records and documentation.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, third-party experts, and co-workers.
• Strong basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals) and ability to effectively read and utilize a tape measure.
• Ability to think methodically and apply a logical step-by-step approach to work.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with many different variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
