Yard Supervisor Details:

• Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Overtime required, including weekends
• Pay Rate: $31/hour
• Contract-to-Hire Opportunity

Yard Supervisor Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily yard operations, including trailer movements, dock activity, shipping, receiving, fleet operations, and transportation coordination
• Coordinate schedules with warehouse teams, carriers, drivers, and transportation partners to ensure timely inbound and outbound shipments
• Manage routing, trailer staging, dock assignments, equipment availability, and daily transportation activities
• Maintain accurate shipment, trailer, routing, freight, and yard location records using transportation and warehouse systems
• Monitor yard flow, dock utilization, trailer dwell times, and performance metrics to identify and resolve operational inefficiencies
• Partner with warehouse leadership to support staffing, equipment planning, load prioritization, and capacity management
• Investigate and resolve shipment, inventory, documentation, safety, and transportation discrepancies while ensuring regulatory compliance
• Analyze transportation data, rates, and service trends to support continuous improvement initiatives and operational reporting

Yard Supervisor Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required
• 5–10 years of warehouse, transportation, logistics, fleet, or yard management experience preferred
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience required
• Strong understanding of shipping, receiving, routing, transportation, yard operations, and compliance procedures
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, email systems, and warehouse/transportation software; SAP experience preferred
• Excellent communication, organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and lead teams in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable attendance and ability to stand, walk, and work both indoors and outdoors while maintaining a strong focus on safety and quality standards
