Provide advanced pediatric critical care nursing services in a busy PICU setting. Ensure the highest quality patient care through clinical expertise and compassionate support. Responsibilities:
- Administer and monitor pediatric critical care treatments including ventilators, vasoactive infusions, and invasive lines.
- Assist in complex procedures such as intubations, central line insertions, and sedation management.
- Titrate medications and continuous infusions following weight-based protocols and age-specific guidelines.
- Document patient care activities accurately in the electronic medical record system.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement care plans.
- Educate and support families of critically ill pediatric patients.
- Hold a valid RN license with at least 2 years of recent bedside pediatric critical care experience.
- Demonstrate proficiency with pediatric mechanical ventilation, nasal CPAP, HFNC, and tracheostomy management.
- Possess experience managing arterial and central lines and titrating vasoactive and sedative infusions.
- Be certified in BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
- Exhibit strong critical thinking skills and ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments.
