Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience required, with 1 year of in-specialty experience preferred. License: Active RN License required; pending license accepted upon submission. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, CPI required. Must-Have: - First-time travelers accepted if they have appropriate experience. - Weekend coverage required every other weekend. - Certification in CPI must be obtained more than 1 week before start. - Ability to float to the emergency department if needed. - Prior experience with telemetry and IV therapy is preferred. Description: Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for an Emergency Room setting. Shifts will be 12 hours, from 7 PM to 7 AM, including weekends. The patient ratio is 5:1, with a focus on adult and geriatric populations. The candidate must demonstrate skills in accessing and managing ports, administering blood products, and providing care for ventilated patients. Experience with neurological and psychiatric conditions such as strokes and seizures is required. Experience with respiratory care, including BiPAP and high flow oxygen management, is preferred. Nurses will be responsible for managing cardiac drips and adhering to heparin protocols. This role involves collaboration with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient care. References from two managers or charge nurses within the past 2 years are required. Candidates are expected to have a permanent address at least 100 miles from the facility. Flu vaccination is required unless a documented medical exemption is provided. COVID-19 vaccination is not required.
