Responsibilities
- Safely operate 8-axle trucks to deliver steel products to customers within Michigan
- Transfer materials from vendors and processors throughout the state
- Secure steel coils and sheets using proper strapping and chaining techniques
- Maintain accurate delivery records and comply with all DOT regulations
- Communicate effectively with the Production Control Manager and other team members
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL
- Experience operating 8-axle trucks
- Proficient in strapping and chaining loads; steel hauling experience is a plus
- Current DOT medical card
- No more than 4 points currently on MVR
- No DUI, OUI, or reckless driving convictions within the past 5 years
- No careless driving convictions within the past 3 years
